Went to the Dr. today to see why my hands and wrists have been hurting. Pcp and I thought carpal , but neurology DR today said prob tendonitis! WTF!! That the carpal is a secondary effect of the tendonitis .Asked if I had any hobbies like fishing.... He said I should lay off! Ive hardly fished this year, not even once a week! It's from all the repetitive crap from cooking 14 years. 32 and feel like im 45.... Off to the orthopedic DR next week!

Long shot: have Dr check thyroid functions!

My brother (custom cabinet maker) had severe joint pain and found out he was hypothyroid. Thyroid issues run in the family.

See if you can convince the restaurant to change the menu to only stuff you can cook on a George Foreman Grille...

pure whey protein powder in a shake
helps you re-build your body from all the
damages you put it thru....

i always feel better when on the whey
the next day... like 80% and work into
the feelin fine mode as i go.

Thanks! I told the doc my uncle had thyroid problems, so pretty sure she tested for that. Thanks Joe, Id rather just say #@*$ it , and have a 10k microwave! Will try that Raven. I need a new profession.....

the thyroid gland is the body's regulator

it basically runs on Vitamin D

so if your not exposing your skin 10 -20 minutes per day
or taking vitamin D as a supplement you can run into problems.

certain mushrooms (shi'take)can be exposed to sunlight with gills facing up
to allow them to absorb vitamin D and they do it quite rapidly.

skin block utilization to prevent melanoma can also prevent you
from making vitamin D naturally....so ten minutes per side per day
is the rule of thumb.

having your blood work done to see where your vitamin D levels
are at is vitally important...

vitamin D has notoriously been the most underrated vitamin of all

i had the carpel condition in both wrists and it went away

my wife massaged it right out of me... i kid you not....

i swear she has magic hands sometimes....
i was slated for dual surgeries and then changed my mind
at the last minute opting to go the healthy route
and i'm glad i did. because its all gone...

i was gripping tools ...all kinds , way to hard i figured out....
i mean, all it is .........is inflammation and swelling as a result of it...

you have to increase your circulation for 1 and you can do that
with cayenne pepper ...easy tho (hot stuff)

check the ergonomics of everything you do !

i would definitely seek out physical therapy if you can get it
and let them work it out.... increase your vitamins too

Slipknot.... i am there.....

why didn't he say ............not to cook?

sounds like an idiot to me....

E- stim does have its purpose...

one thing it does........ is to tell the brain
to send some repairmen to the site

it's like congestion in there.... from swelling
due to inflammation....

 i know lets JAB a fookin needle in there
and inflame it all the more  NOT

yeah right , ...increase the pressure by injection
that's like ..............so wicked smart....:uhuh:

i'd fire that Doctor in a heart beat.

No injections raven, the electro shocks make the anti-inflam meds go deep into my wrist. He actually did mention not working as a last resort. I think he didn't want to get me more stressed then I already am about the situation. He said a month on workmans comp is in my future if things don't improve! Cooking is great , long hours , crap pay , and at 32 you feel like 52!!

I have Dequervains (sp?) in my right wrist and it flares up every once in a while. The lady who does my therapy rubs out the pain and finishes with the electric therapy. Works every time!

Had my first PT session yesterday when they did this. I have a shoulder impingement. When she told me about the ultrasound therapy, I thought "there's no way this is going to do anything". Good to know that it has actually worked for someone.
