I got a call from Clammer yesterday morning at 5:30 am. Dang sure he was going to wake my kid up and throw the morning routine for a disatrous start. He asks if he woke me :laughs: ...

Anyway, he has this little problem. See, Thursday we had all this snow, about 7 inches and he forgot to shovel the snow out of his boat (which is surrounded, frozen in an iceberg in Warwick Cove  ) Now that could be a problem because snow could block thru hulls and drainage and weather reports were calling for heavy rain. So he asked me if I could shovel it last night before any rains (that are going to miss us) or snow melt (of which there was much) caused any problems.

That's where we get to the rest of the problem, my "friend" (the lucky basstid) was in line at the gate at TF Green Airport on his way to nice warm Disney with the wife, kids, & granchild... Skipped the shoveling to go someplace warm! What nerve! He's going to pay for it in live herring next month too! :D

Didn't mind at all, was actually very nice to do "something on the water", even if it was shoveling snow out of the World's Fastest Clamming Barge.... I even went down to the water today to "verify" in datlight that everything was cool, and it was nice to be on the water today!

Hey Clammer - if you see this from Florida - bring me one of those stupid TShirts :) :kewl:

Hey John,

Was the boat up near Ray's bait? I live across the street and might have seen you over there. In fact a week or so ago I saw a fire truck across the street pumping out somebodies skiff. Anyway, hope to see you guys out there as soon as the herring start running.

Hey John, just look at it as a deposit in the favor bank. It's late fall, you're just too damn busy for anything resembling fishing. But, things need to be taken care of, so you call your good buddy Clammer "Look pal, I'm a little jammed up, haven't run the Seacraft in a week, would ya mind takin it for a little spin, just to you know, keep it fishy"
See no guilt.
