let's see...2000 more pages of legislation that needs to be passed to find out what's in it, Obama travelling to Canada to tell the "G's" that they need to increase government spending to improve their failing ecomomies and that reducing spending will only slow the recovery?...because spending like a drunken sailor when you are broke is precisely the way to improve your situation...fortunately the established socialist countries recognize what many Americans don't, Obama is a maniac...and they've sanely chosen to reduce spending in many cases....as for our "brilliant" president, he'll keep requesting billions and trillions to try to sustain the unsustainable.....look around America...these democrats don't/can't help create private sector jobs (lucky it's a census year, huh?) because they are idealogically opposed to the private sector, they are leeches who will suck the blood out of the host till it dies and either die themselves, gorged, or move on to another victim, they create public sector government dependence...pick your favorite bastion of democrat controlled states or cities, legislatures and do you see economic growth? or do you see massive government dependency, failing and unfunded government entitlements, massive public debt and looming disaster essentially..sooo...spend, spend.... spend........reminds me of that movie Leaving Las Vegas where Nicholas Cage is determined to drink himself to death....and does :uhuh:

and then there's this little gem

Provincetown, Massachusetts "to rethink condom policy," reports the Boston Globe. After Governor Deval Patrick "expressed concern" the School Committee will revisit its policy of providing free condoms to "the Cape Cod community's elementary school, which serves preschoolers to sixth-graders."

The conservative new regulations will limit free condom distribution to the preschool through fourth grade, but will offer protection to all sexually active fifth and sixth graders:

"If parents are that upset, and we have to revise it to fifth- and sixth-graders, then that would be fine with me,'' said [School Committee member Carrie] Notaro, who has a preschooler and a second-grader in the elementary school.

Parents however will have no say in whether their fifth-grader is authorized to get a condom, Notaro noted, since kids aren't "going to ask their parents anyway."

Right.
Obama called Provincetown and said 'give condoms to kids, NOW'

"The Voters are starting to wake up"

What if they don't?
I think we could use a little balance, which I have been consistent with saying in previous posts, however what if the mass exodus of dem's from the House Senate doesn't happen...
what will that mean?

I didn't say that, you did, you sound like my 11 year old now..it was simply another example of the insanity we're being subjected to at the hands of the "enlightened"

Trying to reason with the unreasonable is but a waste of time. Did you know that it's Obama's fault the North Koreans torpedoed the South Korean sub?

I don't think condoms will prevent a lot ofkindergarten pregnancies or std's. A regular condom would fall right off a little kid's unit and he'd probably slip one past the goalie. What a waste of taxpayer money. Are they gonna teach the little kids how to put the condoms on and then have them secure it by putting a silly band around it? The more I think about it, the weirder it seems. They should just make the girls take the pill instead.

In order for them to be used "properly" they will have to start doling out viagra so that they kid's willies will be big enough for the concom to fit. Do they even make "pre-pubescent" size condoms, or will they just cut the fingers off of used rubber gloves and charge the state for "top-of-the-line" wee-wee wetsuits?

If this whole event weren't true it would be comical, and you can bet your sweet a$$ that none of the school board intellectual rejects will be subjecting thier spawn to this ridiculous rule.
Of course that's provided they could have scraped together enough viable chromosomes to create a child.

Obama hasn't pulled troops out of the 2 wars as promised. That one iss still attainable. His stimulus promise of 5 million jobs was not believable from day one. He got something done on health care good or bad.

After all of that he will mostly be judged by the oil spill. If BP defaults Obama gets blamed in Nov. 2012

really Spence?...what exactly did we get for all of the spending??? the only thing to hang your hat on is that we may have lost fewer jobs,( "jobs saved" supposedly, assuming the rate of job loss was going to continue at those levels), as a result of the money spent?...that is ludicrous...I think even the admin. has stopped trying to run that up the flag pole...

larger government I guess, temporary census jobs?...you are delusional...you are moot:uhuh:

Yes there is a possibility to restore jobs. Put tariffs on Chinese imports and promote American made products. It's really quite simple

states like RI can't attract businesses because the legislature has made it unattractive through regulation and taxation and other burdens to even consider setting up shop, why come here where you will have crooks with their hands in your wallet and a microscope up your butt and there's no guarantee of what they might dream up and imposed on you in the future when you can go elsewhere and aviod all that hassle?.... it's really that simple

As with most investments there are hard and soft benefits.

Reducing the rate of job loss and averting a much deeper recession is of tremendous benefit to the American people. Some of this was simply emotional which is soft, but very important. Harder benefits like new hires, increases in pay or the big one GDP can be measured, but the driver isn't always a single cause.

The economists seem to generally agree that the Stimulus Bill did help avert a deeper recession, which in soft terms means the economic impact is far beyond 600B.

Never recovering all 8M jobs doesn't mean we won't recover. A lot of jobs will be lost through automation and technology changes. As a country, we need to adapt and innovate.

sorry Spence...BS!!!! the stimulus didn't reduce the rate of job loss, that occurs on it's own as a normal cycle of the recession...bankrupting America is a tremendous benefit?? "the economists seem to generally agree"?...you mean the GDP that was just revised DOWN??? like all of the other numbers that Obama shows up to trumpet as signs of success only to be revised DOWN within a week or so??? the more you comment the more I think you are as deluded as Obama

AP Steve Wynn says Americans are afraid. He’s just angry.

“Washington is unpredictable these days,” declares the CEO of Wynn Resorts . “No one has any idea what’s next…the uncertainty of the business climate in America is frightening, frightening to everybody, and it’s delaying the recovery.”

Wynn speaks of “wild, uncontrolled spending,” and “unbelievable, unsustainable debt”. As he plans to split his company headquarters between Las Vegas and Macau, with a bigger emphasis on Macau because of its tremendous profitability, he has no qualms about dealing with the Chinese government.

“Macau has been steady. The shocking, unexpected government is the one in Washington.”

He’s concerned about the prospect of inflation, of FHA repeating the mistakes of Fannie and Freddie, and the cost to business from the new healthcare law. “We’re on our way to Greece, in the hands of a confused, foolish government,” Wynn says. “It’s got to stop. It’s got to stop.”

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama, fresh from a win on a sweeping overhaul of Wall Street regulations, on Saturday urged Congress to take up his proposal for a $90 billion, 10-year tax on banks as the next step in reform.
Politics

Obama wants to slap a 0.15 percent tax on the liabilities of the biggest U.S. financial institutions to recoup the costs to taxpayers of the financial bailout.

"We need to impose a fee on the banks that were the biggest beneficiaries of taxpayer assistance at the height of our financial crisis -- so we can recover every dime of taxpayer money," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address.

because Barry knows of course that the banks won't be passing the cost of that tax right down to their customers "taxpayers"
