So I go to use our outside shower yesterday and sitting in front of it is this homing pigeon! He takes one look at me and walks over to my feet and starts checking me out! So I am talking to it and my son and I give it some feed and water and he hangs out for awhile and we go in the house figuring he would be off soon! Suddenly we look on our front steps and he is there looking for us at the screen door??? We go out and he just climbs up on me???? As you can see by pic #2.....he got real comfortable!!!:rotf2: He was pretty cool......thats my son Larry holding him! The bird stayed all night on the railing at the back door like he was looking for us?? Very cool! He has moved on now! Nice visit! We tracked the tag on his foot to a club out of Braintree! I know they are trained and very "people friendly"....but this was funny!
THe narragansett indians said that if a pigeon landed on you, it would bring very bad hunting for many moons. To lift this curse, the person who had the bird land on him should give all of his arrows to the person who reminded him of the curse, otherwise, his family would starve.
In your case, i believe plugs would make a fine substitute for arrows :rtfm:

We actually had one last week at out home in Melrose. It was so tame in fact I thought it was sick as it really didn't want to fly. Pretty cool
