WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. Air Force tested a new 21,000-pound bomb Tuesday, dropping the device from a military transport plane over a test site at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida just after 2 p.m., U.S. officials told CNN.

That's not 21,000 pounds heavy, but 21,000 pounds Net Explosive Weight (equivalent to 21K pounds of TNT)

funny according to cnn, they used it already in the gulf war in 1991. guess the news dont travel to fast. or they couldnt tell 1 bomb from another.
