and its not raining, nor am I standing in the water, or have I fallen in.

Yesterday morning I was fishing at around 4:10 a.m. and I wore a new long sleeve jersey over a t-shirt. I sprayed myself from the arm pits north with Off to guard against the dreaded West Nile Virus. God only knows that the way this summer is going, its s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g bad, right, one of us:fury: will catch it. I also had waders on because I like standing in the water regardless of how warm it is. I wasn't there thirty minutes and the long sleeve jersey was soaked because of the humidity"!"

I know it has been humid for over a week now, but you can go to the canal when it is dry during the day, and still be covered with moisture in very short time in every morning. This morning was no different. The moisture was just dripping off of seemingly nothing. You could almost see the the molecules of water as if floating on air all around you. It is just one of the things that we all run into at the canal. It makes the canal, the canal. It is welcome relief when the mosquitos take off and you can start taking off some clothing.

Used a new jointed eel from Bigfish that he presented me with on my retirement, (shameless Spamming here!), and it swims like a dream. If there were fish going by the fish no doubt would have been all over it like a sun tan on Jennifer Anniston at a nude beach. Looking forward to catching large with it. Oh ya, if a large cow did swim by I would have been the only one with an opportunity to catch it because there wasn't another freikin soul around yesterday.

I started wearing the Columbia guide shirts that ventilate a bit so I can get away with longsleeves which helps to cut down on the bugs.

As soon as the wind would drop, they were in like Flynn.

Wet, yep.

Canal has been dead this week. Put a few nights in, but taking tonight off. Nothing over 34" or so. Gonna go to a couple other places for a week or so.

I like the canal cause it is close, but I am stuck in a rut there. you ain't kidding about the humidity either. I like when the fog rolls in from time to time, cools it down for a minute.

I've been using that one for years Craig. Let the imagination flow with the rays on her body.

The other suck pill about Canal humidity is that the rocks below the high water mark never dry, and stay as slick as snot. You really have to choose your steps wisely, especially when climbing down.

Yes Mike and the fact that they hold in energy/heat and that combined with the moisture makes it even more humid as that moisture wafts upword from the rocks to you.
