Anyone been there in the past few days? wondering if the heavy rain and surf has clouded the water on the south side

We went out last tuesday and it was pretty weeded up. If you can get a good first hand report on the weed situation it will definitely help u out.

Gee, the "On the Water" fishing report in the Herald says that if you want a chance at catching a world record striper that you need to head to Block Island.
Where will they tell us to go next, 'cause god knows that's all we need is every gung-ho, trigger happy, weekend warrior with delusions of catching a monster fishing the same stretches of water around the same time. Throw in a crapload of inexperienced boat anglers and a weekend of unstable weather and we have a "waterworld" nightmare.
Although the weather may deter some, there will probably be enough wrecklessness to go around.
I know that it's been said before, on a hundred different occaisions, but it still merits saying again: I hope everyone is fully prepared for the weather potential this weekend. I'd hate to hear a horror story on Monday about someone who took an uneccesary risk just for the chance at a record, and ended up paying the ultimate price!
Good luck to all this weekend, and safe seas!
