They probably stopped because they got cut off and it was their only means of avoiding the idiot that cut them off?? Either stop or hit them?? They did right! Glad Denise and the kids are ok! That sucks Scott! Too bad the guy that did the cutting off could not be held accountable!:fury:

Sorry Larry but if someone cut me off in the passing lane I wouldn't go 65 to a dead stop. That's a guaranteed accident.

This is New England, and you're shocked that it happened?
I would be willing to bet that if you asked any random number of drivers what the rules of the road were, and what certain signs meant, you would find that most have NO CLUE!

Every day going to and from work I encounter these kinds of drivers.
Ones that hit the brakes for a leaf in the road, ones that shift lanes without ANY consideration for the driver they cutoff, ones that pull onto the highway at 30 mph into a 55 mph lane and stay at 30 mph, but my favorite idiot is the one that has no clue what MERGE and YIELD mean when taking an on ramp onto a highway.

Let's just say that the vast majority of drivers in this region are ingnorant, self-centered tards that got their license but never LEARNED how to drive.
Take solace in the knowledge that with fewer and fewer police patrolling the roads, wreckless driving and speeding are as common as pigeons.

Notice how they had to create LAWS for driving past police vehicles becuase of the increase in stupid driving and drivers? They don't have enough LEO's as it is, and the ones that are working are getting nailed by these driving rejects!

Keep you eyes on the road and watch out for yourself.

Glad no one was hurt!

That's why I'm a huge proponent of mandatory retesting and mandatory classes for people with 2+ moving violations in a year.

Wife said she had been watching the guy zooming in and out for a few minutes then he got stuck in between a bunch of trucks which he then cut the guy off in front of her in the left lane. Why this guy stopped is beyond me. She said she wasn't speeding and going 65 on the nose in the left lane.

Trooper told her to get it off the highway and take to the next exit. She does and it overheats, front bumper hitting right front tire. I can't believe a SP Lt. would leave a woman with two kids like that 3 hours away from home and just take off. He was in a rush to get to Augusta. New donut shop must have needed protection. :wall:

She's at a Chev dealer now and they're getting her a rental.

Truck value private sale is $8200 so lets see what insurance comes back with...was already in one accident about 6 years ago. There goes our perfect driving record/insurance now :smash:

She's at the rental place now trying to get a rental. They don't have any. Chevy dealer was open and they do auto body so they got it. Let the insurance decide what they're going to do. Guy said he don't think the frame is bent but it needs both quarters, hood, radiator, supports, grill, fairing, etc. Basically the whole front end from what he says. I can't see these guys putting serious money into this but hey they're gettin a nice big bone for the next 5 years.. Truck was in really good shape, high mileage but we took care of it. Daily driver with 150k on it. Had paid something around $49k for it originally. That was back when I made good money. Now I make plugs all day:gorez:

$6600 Repaired. These things are selling for $7-8k online.

$2600 bill from Hertz Rental for the car she hit.

And we're fighting the surcharge because she shouldn't be at fault for the accident. The guy in front of her stopped on the friggin highway. He's at fault any way I look at it.
