After finding 12 active virus's on my Gateway I was able to get it cleaned
and reloaded with my back up discs.

Worked perfect for 2 weeks then same problem, screen would freeze and it would
take 10 mins to get to the next one.

It was suggested I use the OSC disc to re-install the system as there might be
a problem with one of the windows.

Problem is I have no directions. Do I need to un-install anything before I
use the disc, or just put it in and let it run?

Thanks!

you can also skip the disk method

reboot and watch the black screen, it'll say, hit the F8 key
for "set up" ( so be tapping it repeatedly)

this brings you to a set of choices... and if your running windows XP
and i am assuming you are...

choose LAST KNOWN good configuration

or choose the go back in time selection and pick a date before this happened like may 2010

then let it boot up normally and see how that works. FIRST

Eureka! I found the problem ,Rav, by messing with it I found
the mouse wasn't working, spring??? , but tapping on the pad
works. :) Pain in the neck, but it will have to do.
Maybe get a portable mouse.
Thanks for you help!
