Imagine living 86 years, serving in the Senate for a good part of your life, then falling from the sky in an old plane.

Yes, pretty sad story. I think back in the 70's they lost a senator the same way. Never found him.

I was more making a joke to your reference to a life time politician being called "serving"

The man was a decorated WW II vet.. There isn't anyone here who should pass judgement.
