Just a small memory from my childhood. Mum and dad used to go to Campobello Island off the coast of Maine when I was a little kid. He used to fish off the pier for halibut. Tarred handline and a big piece of herring. The fish he caught were bigger than me when I was 6-8 years old. He is 87 years old. I wonder if halibut can still be caught off that pier there?

They get a lot bigger than that !
