I believe Casey is doing his triathlon this weekend. He's been training for it for months and even dropped big pounds for it.
Let's all wish him lots of luck!

But most of all ,,,,,, HAVE FUN VB PaulS 08-12-2010, 04:43 PM of course its a 100 yard swim, 1/4 mile run and 1 mile bike. tynan19 08-12-2010, 07:18 PM Lol, you guys are nuts! I appreciate it the encouragement. Race is Sunday morning. Somehow only being my first I already want to do more. One word of caution, you think fishing gets addictive. I started loosing weight for a work contest. At the end of the contest there was a 5k that most were participating in. I did well. After that is was a 5 mile race. Then a Half Marathon. Last week was a 10 miler now I am doing a Tri. followed by a few more races including an 80 mile relay. I cant wait to hopefully compete in a Half Iron Man next year which will be nuts. Let you know how I do. Stewie 08-12-2010, 07:57 PM Go Casey Go!!!:jump1: Offshore24 08-13-2010, 07:44 AM Did you get that motor installed in your bicycle crank yet? oops. bassballer 08-13-2010, 08:26 AM Only guy in the tri riding a canal cruiser. Rockport24 08-13-2010, 08:30 AM yeah and doing the swim with a van stall and 1201M! tynan19 08-13-2010, 02:40 PM Don't forget running in my waders. Now there is an idea. First annual fishermans tri at the canal. Swim with a rod at Scuset, then bike 14 miles of the canal road, then run a mile in waders. Now that would be something. BigFish 08-13-2010, 04:03 PM Good luck Casey!! Thats a tough undertaking! Best of luck!:uhuh: tynan19 08-15-2010, 11:24 AM Just got home. What a fun race . Did pretty good I think. 1.16 hours 440meter swim 14mile bike and a 5k. I actually had my best 5k time beating my normal road race time. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device BassDawg 08-15-2010, 07:13 PM just now saw the post~~~ CONGRATS on yer first triathalon!! i used to run 10K's out in LA, when? i was MUCH younger and MORE cardiopulmonaric,,,,,,, :grins: :grins: :grins: luds 08-15-2010, 08:11 PM Nice job bud! tynan19 08-15-2010, 08:45 PM Results up. 7 min swim, 43 minute bike, 21 min 5k. I must have trained better and rested better than I thought. All times were better than any of my training runs alone in the single sports. Got to love adrenaline! A few pics. White Caps are my swim wave. tynan19 08-15-2010, 08:48 PM End of the bike to the run transition. Starfish gets the photography credit. She was a great pit crew today. tynan19 08-15-2010, 08:51 PM Run transition, home stretch and finish medals. PaulS 08-16-2010, 07:01 AM who is that skinny guy? Slipknot 08-16-2010, 10:02 AM :btu: Excellent and you got a medal too If I were younger I might have been able to do that , but now I'd be able to do the swim and the bike parts only, forget running. that sounds like a real good time to me:uhuh: ThrowingTimber 08-16-2010, 12:07 PM Nice job dude!
