Saltheart and I do a lot of jigs. We are verey careful with lead. One no no is not in the house. And never around children. Kids are like a spunge around lead. Be safe or be sorry:(

We use virgin lead from plumbing supply and always melt outside. remember what smokey said , adults and lead fumes are bad but kids and lead fumes is ten times worse.

on a cold day I will do it in the basement with the out side door open and it will be rt by the door. My Daughter is 17 years old. She was comming to bring me a glass of water and triped on something and the water splashed from the floor to the pot. Just a few drops but anough!! I also would never let a young child near this pot.
