View Full Version : MY DOG Raven 08-24-2010, 04:21 AM is sneakier than a cat...... never ceases to amaze me..... :hs: justplugit 08-24-2010, 10:59 AM What did he bring home now. :) Raven 08-24-2010, 12:26 PM cat goes out at 5 am and 8 pm like clockwork-> every day today : the dog sneaks out for a little romp in the front yard was all (taking advantage of the open door) but i never saw her.... she was in stealth mode just heard her barkin to be let in...... as she's not to fond of the rain... Sea Dangles 08-24-2010, 05:52 PM Is this the same dog that was injured by the survey stake? Raven 08-24-2010, 06:12 PM Is this the same dog that was injured by the survey stake? the one and the same who is educated daily about sticking around the yard... the PRIMARY RULE no traffic on my road to speak of especially at 5 am (none) as most people exit out of the other end of the street... these dogs tho (cattle dog breed) have a tendency to wander at times so we rarely let her out of our sight. justplugit 08-25-2010, 09:32 AM Oh man, I had a Golden like that who was the greatest escape artist i've ever seen. No matter what, he'd find a way out of the house. He would hide wait for the kids to come in or out and squeeze thru them and the door. Gone!!!! Got to the point that when he came home he would go right under the kitchen table which he knew was his "time out" spot. :D Raven 08-25-2010, 10:28 AM oh yeah....:) My favorite thing to say is.... as she's trying to scoot back in.... caught in the act. "WHERE DID "YOU " GO?" AWWWWWW>>>> 'I'm tellin mummy on you BOY..." even tho she's a girl and then she knows she's BUSTED! Big-time.... then , when the wife gets home she gets scolded about STAYING HERE....(again) :) before she gets her ~ Hello hug~ of the evening. (to repeat the lesson) My other cattle dogs: i had to watch with binoculars because they'd travel Long distance... years ago... so in comparison this ones an Angel.....just a sneaky ANGEL ! Heh heh , who's got me figured out that's for sure.... she's a good dog... tho... her reward is a ride in the van with the wind blowing in her face as she surfs the Air.... b4 we leave.... i'll say: where's your Ringy Dingy ? and she runs back in the house to get it........ all excited out she trots carrying her six inch rubber ring ..her favorite chase toy..... as they need to be run every day to stay healthy. :uhuh: six or seven 150 foot chases and shes ready to lay down and rest....again... or we ....get the SQUIRREL !!!! which is her JOB around here.... yesterday she treed a wild cat....and that was loads of FUN :devil2: FishermanTim 08-25-2010, 12:15 PM I grew up with a shepard/huskie that would sit and wait for us to give him the "OK" to chase the cat. We did it to give the cat a running start, and he (Champ) would have them cornered or tree in a matter of seconds. He wouldn't hurt them, just try and play with them, and they wanted NOTHING to do with him. Our house cat would sleep with him at night. Flash forward some 20 years to Brandy, a MSPCA adoptee, who loved chasing cats and squirrels. She would never get the squirrels, but our cat was another story. She would catch the cat and proceed to try and "play" with it. The cat would literally just "play dead" until the dog would leave him alone. basswipe 08-25-2010, 05:24 PM Know how you feel Raven. My mini-Dachshund Simon's other name is "Mister Sneaky-Pants".
