So the 2 weeks ago i got caught in some bad weather an really shook things up in my boat. I go out to my boat to check on it the other day and the bildge has fuel in it. NOT GOOD, my boat never has water or anything in the bildge, Its always dry! So i invesagate and my fuel tank is leaking. I pull boat and cut floor out of cabin, Got the tank out, turns out one of the welds failed do to corrosion. It is a orignal tank ( 1988 ), made by AFP fabrication in florida. They are sill in business, just called RDS fabriaion. I called them and they still have the prints and make that tank.
Here is the question, can some one local or somewhat local make me one for the price i can buy one from them. I would much rather give someone on here my money.

RDS fab, Perry florida $ 475 + shipping
Capeway welding, Plymouth Mass $875!!

I replaced the tank in my '87 GW a couple years back. Even with truck freight, it was cheaper to go with the original manuf in Miami, FL.

Replace with plastic tank. Safer and dont have to worry about corrosion. I had my tank go a few years ago. Replaced with a plastic tank.
