You are not the only one that had a hard time finding any fish! Left Plymouth Harbor about 7AM with Eelskimmer and O.D. Mike prepared for anything we'd encounter during the day. Headed to Scorton Ledge & NADA, went to mouth of Barnstable Harbor and had good marks but NADA, went to the Fishing Ledge and even less than NADA, and finally fished outside Plymouth Harbor and around Bug Light: the big NADA!

Oh well at least we didn't have to clean any fish at the end of the day..:bc:

Likely my last time out in the boat until after Earl and Labor Day.......:crying:

we ended up getting one tube and worm on the way in from Fore River Bridge but nothing worth bragging about. did see one pod of macs inside Hull gut but not enough to bother with going after them. anyone think they will put the feedbag on before this storm sets up? or are they just gone? we marked a bunch of fish just seemed like they weren't eating

For some reason it seems like lockjaw to me, or they are just full. We marked lots of bait everywhere we went, fish too, and to top it off, the fish were not on the bait really where we netted them. There were occasional splashes, but no consistant blowups. I don't know if I buy the dirty water thing, as stripers have very keen senses when it comes to hunting prey.

I might be done, I have a fuel leak and not sure if I want to change the vent hose, fill hose, and sending unit seal to eliminate them or not. The tank only leaks when filled, and seems to only leak when it is moving, either on the water or oin the trailer :smash:
