Thanks a bunch Vic JohnR 09-03-2010, 08:10 AM Vic - do you work for Black Salties? That's all you seem to talk about? Clogston29 09-03-2010, 08:17 AM don't know about MA or RI, but in alot of states they are considered gamefish and therefore are illegal to use for bait. victank 09-03-2010, 08:26 AM No Not yet Skippy, I'm just asking for input sorry you are bored with it ThrowingTimber 09-03-2010, 10:19 AM I call dibs on the kixor! Go figure. JohnR 09-03-2010, 12:14 PM I think I am Skippy. You do seem to bring them B.S. up an awful lot so you either work for them or are really confused on whether or not to use them. If its the former and you work for them, unsolicited spam ist verbotten here. While we highly encourage open and honest debate, we don't like people taking advantage of that freedom for commercial benefit. And if you work for them you are also likely in a position contrary to the Acceptable Use Policies of the information systems where you officially work. Yes, I know where you are connecting from, Sir. If it is the latter and you genuinely are not sure, based on where you work, I highly recommend you use some of the initiative of the people you support, yell "Charge", seize the initiative and go swim some live baits :tooth: . Then let us know how they work - product name non descriptive of course. In short, go nail a monster. I'd love to see some (non spam) monster sweetwater striper photos. Really. And I'm only going to be 100 miles or so away next weekend visiting some of my fellow brats. Wish I had the opportunity to try but I won't as I will be conducting an extended beer quality evaluation. victank 09-03-2010, 12:41 PM I work for the Army and have for 34 years. In Ala "freaking Bama" both Bream and BS are legal for bait. I just ask a simple question, which was only my 4th post on this forum. I guess I was being a forum hoggy. If you don't like the question or the reply don't put your 2 in "Porgies Forever" Yep & no problem. My point is Go Use Them, Go Large (as in LARGE fish). 5 of your 7 posts are asking about B.S. which fortunately or unfortunately we can't use and has been stated several times. We have other stuff to live-line (like mackerel  ) when we can get them. So pleeeeeeeze lets talk fishing and leave the Black Salties out of it. Its not something 95% of us here can use nor recommend. Unfortunately, not much most of us can do with them. Now, if you want to try an experiment, we need to send you a dozen Amercian Eels :btu: THAT will kick some a$$ I bet. Seriously, thumbs up for what you do. iamskippy 09-03-2010, 04:52 PM Just to clarify Iamskippy! :jump1: striperman36 09-03-2010, 04:58 PM Army guys don't feesh, the marines fish JohnR 09-03-2010, 06:17 PM Army guys don't feesh, the marines fish The Air Force gals get their fish catered at the 19th hole :devil2: striperman36 09-03-2010, 06:36 PM Air Force , bah, they just fly taxi's and the Navy just drives them striperman36 09-03-2010, 06:53 PM http://usmcshop.grunt.com/prodimg/BS74.jpg Redsoxticket 09-03-2010, 07:53 PM Army guys don't feesh, the marines fish The redneck hick, Gomer Pyle is from Alabama. In regard to the Black Salties, we got some quite a few years ago. Probably 2002 was the first year there was a lot of publicity about them here in RI. I can't remember if they were declared illegal in RI but I do remember that we livelined some at the Great Island Bridge. Clammer, you remember? You and Billy went one afternoon and were raising 20# bass in broad daylight. I remember my old surf partner, RJ, and I fished them one night at Black Point. Never got a fish until we switched over to eels and them we "smoked 'em". I seem to remember that they were expensive, maybe $1.50 each. mayday1019 09-04-2010, 07:14 AM Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device JohnR 09-04-2010, 12:23 PM The redneck hick, Gomer Pyle is from Alabama.
