Showing up to a spot that you know based upon the moon, tide, and wind that the fish will be there and they are and they are large. Being right is almost as good as the actual fishing.

Depends on whether you subscribe to lyrics by Randy Newman or not.

All kidding aside, that is the best.

Even worse is thinking it will be bad and sleeping in, then finding out you missed a big kill...just ask me as I've managed to miss out on every canal blitz that's happened so far this year...that's probably dozens of times, at least.

I don't know what that feels like this season. I've been wrong so much so often.

Being wrong is as important a part of fishing as being right.

Only if you can understand why you were wrong. Some guys just go home and say, "yep I got skunked again, will have to try again tomorrow". Not even realizing if they sat down and thought about it they could put some things together as to why there weren't fish there that night. Sometimes the fish just aint there, just all part of the game. :fishin:

The most important thing about fishing is being where the fish are, presenting the bait they want from the direction they want, and having gear that works flawlessly.

I had a few days like that, or I was lucky. I will take it either way.

Today we caught about 16 blues and 20 dogfish. We wanted striped bass, but tight lines are fun no matter what.
