Anyone know if that is Brewster Spit or the Squantum Spit near Squa Rock? At least it wasn't Devils Back again

My guess is Brewster spit. I would guess the guys on the boat felt rather dumb when news center 7 started flying over.....

The sun must have been in their eyes. :biglaugh:

Seriously, what is a chart?
I think they just had a map with a big "X" where the fish would be! :rotf2:

A couple of boats end up on the spit every year.
Last year I snapped some pics of a sail boat on it's side.
In their defense, the spit is not exposed at high water.
Devils Back is barely exposed at low tide.

A good mariner knows what hazards are in the waters he is piloting. Operator error all the way.
