Anybody know a good resource for dyed surgical tube? Or how to dye it?

Also, any advice on best type of wire to use? I have a bunch of steel trolling wire but it seems like the tubes I have purchased have a stiffer wire with less memory.

I'm happy to say that my tubes are in shambles already!

Monahans Marine usually has tubing. I prefer to use multiple twisted strands of wire that I save when replacing wire on my jigging rods. Memory is your friend; allows you to "shape" the tube.

geez Bob nice find. How come I never found that site:smash:, not that I need all those fancy colors.

I usually just buy my tubing from Charlie at CMS in N. Bedford. He will sell you lengths of it.

I like to use Malin wire. You can get it in shorter length packages, like 40' at red top. pretty cheap. I prefer the heavier gauge stuff, .030-.033 dia. , but they have all sizes and that will be a personal choice.
