has anyone had to do any type of repairs to their kayak? I have a Wilderness Tarpon and have developed a small open crack at the top of my front left scupper plug. It's on the inside of the yak so I don't think I have to worry about taking in any water once the plug is in but I don't want it to get any worse. I was thinking about using the tip of a hot glue gun to try to melt a seam in it but not sure I wanna try that until I get some feedback. thanks

I've never tried to repair a crack like that. I've read lots about people welding plastic to repair something like that. They usually save a chunk of the yak when rod holders are drilled.
Bass Pro and Cabelas also sell something called Hippo Patch. The Hippo Patch is a flexible "band aid" for kayaks and canoes. You might want to try a combination of both melted plastic and a patch on top.

Marine Goop will fix it for you pretty quick and cheap too if you want to go that route

napa sells a two part epoxy that works on most plastics that costs 5 bucks.

Try osprey kayak in Westport Ma. They have fixed cracks in my kayaks before and quickly and at a reasonable rate

I ended up welding a crack in mine last year. i waws able to cut a little strip away from under the cockpit to use as a welding rod. i used an industrial heat gun with a nozzle. first heated up the area that was cracked, and then ran the "welding rod" down the crack....Worked like a charm (doesn't look to pretty though)
