I've seen directions from Rt 3 but does anyone know the best rt if coming in on Rt 44 from 495 and RI?

I could tell you, but I'd end up getting you lost. :(

if you have a mapbook you can see a way to get over to the mall more directly but it may be too many turns and get you lost and lose time.

You could always stay on 44 all the way to rt.3 and jump on 3 north to the exit for the mall. that would be easiest and more direct than going 195 to 6 along the canal to 3 North.

I would go the way Bruce mentioned . I use 195 to 24 to 44 to 3 to show off exit 8 . But I live in Ct and am clueless . Im going 6 to 3 do to the fact I have to stop and buy some fishy stuff before the show .

Mike, if your traveling along 44 from Providence......your gonna catch mucho traffic at the Taunton Green (Rotary/Round-about)...you'll also hit traffic 2 miles later along the Flea-Market area...

I'm at the Independence Mall (Kingston) way too much!! ....but coming from Southern Ma. or R.I.....I'd still travel along 44...to 3 North...to exit 8 - like Slip and Chris mentioned. At the end of the exit, bear right.....go up the hill thru the lights...and you'll see the mall on your right.

....Mike, remember....it's a Saturday/Sunday.....grab yourself a beverage & enjoy the ride, whichever route you choose :) Be Safe..lotta knuckleheads on the road.

44 to 3 sounds cool.
I'll actually take 495 way out past taunton and just pick up 44 before the wareham exit and ride it in for the last few miles. I thought there was an easy back way in from 44 but 44 to 3 is do-able. Thanks again

If I’m not mistaken 44 does not go thru to Rt 3 unless they finished it.

44 gets off in carver Rt58 (main St) bottom of ramp take a right go to lights (1 mile) take a left that’s were 44 picks up again
(old rt 44) but it's a small winding road and it will pick up to a larger road about 3 miles down when you enter Plymouth then hop on RT 3

Gentlemen......as Mike said, not sure if the new Route 44 Carver Bypass is finished (think it's finished or mostly so, but don't think it is open yet) to be able to bypass the small winding part of 44 thru Carver. Once it is, that would definately be the way to go.

If it's not, and you opt for that route, (which is probably the best as long as you don't mind 5-8 miles of country road) be SURE to obey the speed limits on the small winding parts of 44....it is as low as 25 MPH in some areas, and is a speed trap waiting to happen.

Chris.....you are better off staying on 95 thru Providence and Pawtucket into Mass and up to 495 South than taking 195 to 24 to 44 Route, especially on the weekend. Weekdays, I might opt for 195, but on the weekend, 95 should be okay....or you could even take 295 to 95 North to 495 South and by-pass Providence altogether....about 5-8 miles longer than thru Providence, but it doesn't have the S-curves to deal with.

Good Ol Massachusetts.....funny thing is, I am 32 miles from the show if I take Route 106....and it will take me 50 or so minutes to get there....or I could take the "horseshoe Route" up 95 to 128 and then down 3, and its about 45 miles, and take me 50+ munutes....all depends on the type of driving you like....me, I'll probably take the relaxed scenic route and say "Eff" 128 and the maniac drivers......;)

44 to rt 3 would be the easiest route without getting lost. I wrote down the streets today on the way to work and there are a couple of places where you could turn off without realizing it and get totally lost.

I checked earlier today when I went to GS house and 44 has not been completed so you will go this route

44 gets off in carver Rt58 (main St) bottom of ramp take a right go to lights (3/4 mile) take a left that’s were 44 picks up again
(old rt 44) but it's a small winding road and it will pick up to a larger road about 3 miles down when you enter Plymouth then under rt 3 take a right & hop on RT 3 to exit 8 off ramp take a right and yout there.
