I am making a late year of spooks. I was thinking of using foil on them. Would also like to have the scale effect. HOw do you foil? Was thinking, seal, prime, and then spray with adhesive then smoth on foil. Then spray white on belly and light stripe on back than enviortex and assemble. Would this work. Would appreciate input on this thanks Charlie.

Check out step 11 onward and then go to the FAQ questions. I have not been able to give this a shot but I definitely am planning to.

Just my 2 cents

Here's how I've done it without any problems:

Seal, foil, epoxy, lightly sand, paint, epoxy topcoat.

If you don't epoxy over the foil you will see the seams when you paint. Also the epoxy wont reactivate the contact adhesive and cause the foil to lift like solvents will.

I've tried it just the way you described and tried to blend the edges of the foil in by sanding them but was still able to see them.
