View Full Version : Registering your Vehicle ONLINE
Raven 10-01-2010, 03:08 PM Notice to all those that choose to
re- register their vehicles online...
it's easy enough to do.... BUT
you tend to forget about it though like i did
as you wait for some kind of conformation
to arrive from the registry and Most importantly
to reciever your PLATE DECAL saying 12
mine did not arrive and i simply spaced it off
and while working on some salt rot my wife noticed
that the plate was actually expired in JUNE so i've be riding
around like that since then oblivious to the error.
so i called the registry and the guy tells me
after waiting on hold for 40 minutes
that i will have to pay another $25.00 dollars
because you have just sixty days to tell them
that the decal has not arrived....
i TOLD them flat out i would take them to court
and asked to speak to a supervisor
who said he would send it to me
out of Quincy and it'll arrive in 5-7 business days.
FREE of charge....
i could take the Gamble and drive it but the police
can pull me over and write me a citation for like
$50.00- $100.00 dollars at their discretion !
So if you dont recieve your decal after 7 days
of doing the transaction
call the registy and say: HEY wheres my Decal?
This has been a public service announcement
by the Raven Administration. :grins:

Why won't this thread accept the word off? I've edited the above 3 times and off will not stay????
Get this: off is fine but off followed by " is not:confused: Here is off preceded by a quote "off and followed by a quote %$%$%$%$ . Here is off double quotes "%$%$%$%$ . Here is a space between off and trailing ": off "
How about just f followed by ": f"
How about ff followed by ": ff"
the the entire off is needed: %$%$%$%$

Raven 10-01-2010, 05:42 PM there's also the possibility that someone peeled it off :fury:
but i have no conscious recollection of ever putting it ON the
plate....so i plan on putting a plexi glass cover over the whole
license plate and make it bullet proof just in case.:uhuh:

yes true.....unless you stack them on top of one another
so i will sharpen up a chisel and remove the old ones first.
Swimmer 10-02-2010, 07:37 AM which if you get pulled over they will also write you a ticket for.
I never really stopped anyone for that alone, but I heard so many times then why do they sell them if its illegal I actually went and looked at the packaging in the store that sld the plastic covers, and on the back it said in BOLD LETTERS, "CAUTION MAY NOT BE LEGAL IN ALL JURISDICTIONS".
I GOT THE BIGGEST CHUCKLE OUT OF THAT.

Raven, the ticket is $100.00 for unregistered operation, Chap. 90 sec. 9, and the tow fee is even more.
