Nothing like fish chowder with fresh striped bass, as opposed to random "white fish" from who knows where

BigFish, looks great. Is it a top secret family recipe handed down from generation to generation or can you share with us?

Guys I cannot tell a lie! This is a recipe I got from Issue #1 of Surfcasters Journal! It belongs to Bonnie Vedeer the wonderful proprietor of the Cuttyhunk Fishing Club! I took a few liberties with the recipe but if you want a can't miss Fish Chowder recipe......check out issue #1 SCJ!!! Its super easy too!!!:uhuh:

Looks good, Larry. Is it safe to assume that October is going better for you than September?

It just so happened that I had to kill a bass the other night and I thought of fish chowder because of this thread.

I searched for a recipe and found "Jasper Whites New England Fish Chowder".....Well the wife made it and I must say that its the BEST fish chowder I have ever had.Its a little bit of work but sooo worth it.I recomend it to all of you.

Oh that looks awesome! Now I have to go make some. I also add a can of creamed corn to my chowda. It gives it a little sweetness.
I have cooked striper at least a hundred ways.
Striped Bass Parmesean is a winner
Bake stuffed with a ritz and crabmeat stuffing
Every bit of every fish I keep gets eaten. I am totally guilt free.:grins:
