So guys, do you swap out the hooks on the Yozuri lures? With the big fish around, I don't want to lose a good fish due to a crappy hook. Thanks.

If lures don't come with VMC's I change them out

YoZuri mag darter absolutely change out especially the split rings or go with no split rings (I use splits on mine)

Those rings will be gone of first good fish that gets leverage.

I drop the front hook all together and change the back hook to a single with 2" of black buck-tail tied in a fan. Adds nice action and reduces foul hooking you and the fish - especially while wading.

Definitely change the split rings - they're not even worthy of freshwater.
