I just wanted to give the people in MSBA a "well done" for putting on a great show! It was definitely worth the 3 hour drive to get there. I liked having it at the mall, I thought it was a great place to have it. If they have it there next year I can bring my family down and turn them loose in the mall while I check out all the fishing stuff. It was also great to meet some of you. It really got my blood flowing wanting to go fishing. :jump:

Ditto.

While smaller than some of the shows I have been to, I really like the fact that it was a fishing only show, and one that really focused on striped bass fishing.

LOTS of neat goodies to buy (you might have had to hunt around to find the gems). Also, it just blows my mind that the folks from Hatteras Jack's came all the way up from NC for this show! Last time I was there was in April of 2000!

The speakers were awesome. I really enjoyed listening to Tony Stetzko speak about structure fishing the Outer Cape beaches (the slides of Nauset and Truro/P-Town were just downright cruel after such a long winter). :crying: No-nonsense, to the point, and very very informative - I took some copious notes when I got home last night.

Sounds like a lot of thought and effort was put into the show. Venue was very convenient (how can you beat a mall with a food court?).

Best part, though, was meeting up with all the great folks from s-b.com!

Way to go guys! Great show!

Sorry I did'nt make it down today John. I had every intention this morning, but it was a nice day, and I spent it with the wife. Besides I spent enough money yesterday.

Well I did not meet to many people but had a great time. I did meet Van He was doing a bang up job at the Striper Swiper table.
Hope the kids like the Jigs.
I also Joined the MSBA for the first time. My nephew and daughter went with me and had a good time. My nephew called me todayand said that he won the raffel from the swipers a bunch of plugs!! He is so happy. I have not seen them but am sure I will soon. Now I have to take him out and show him how to use them.
It was great show!! My first time to it. I will go again next year for sure.

I strolled thru on Sat for a couple hours and caught Charlie’s presentation. Wow, that guy is a gold mine of local info. My first time at a striped-bass exhibition. There was a lot of stuff crammed into that space...Found several must-have(s) surf-rod(s) (11' Ron arra lami stick, that CMS had on display), couple that with the new stella and you got yourself a killer big plug stick. Tonys' rod was also very nice for lighter action on sandy beaches...would be difficult to deal with the rocks IMO or in-your-face heavy weather, but it felt very nice for those lighter 1-2 oz minnow plugs on nice nights. His beach-reading talk was also interesting. I will have to put a "Mr. Wiggles" in the bag this season...if anything for my respect to his dedication to the sport.

Saw a couple of super live bait pens....I just need to find a spot to put something that big without it getting run down by a boat. Maybe next season, I plan to freeze a load of herring this spring.

It was also nice to see a couple rod/reel reps there. I for one have a big wish list of stuff to get this season and it was great to actually see some of the newer stuff and talk to them about it. It confirmed several upcoming purchases.

Wish I had more time to spend...could have spent the entire day there. Looking forward to next year.
