We're in the last week of the Derby and Paul's fish is still holding up for the bass shore division! Without rooting against S-B folks still fishing there, I'm really pulling for you Paul. I check that leaderboard a couple times a day to make sure your name is still up.
Historically I think that it is the premier division in the Derby and a great accomplishment to be on the board, especially when it ends. S-B has done much better there with the keys, compared to the Striper Cup. Two members have brought the boat home! And Leo has won the division twice! You would look good in that green hull, Paul! Best of luck this week and Sunday at the awards.

Good luck on that boat. I will say this though that green color is kind of let me say unique. It was parked at the boat place next to my work for a few weeks before it was taken over to the island I think and I remember saying to myself what the heck color is that. I saw it up close over there and still said what the heck color is that. Hope you win it though.

Paul - was checking yesterday and still keeping my fingers crossed. Unfortunately I will not be going over for any amount of time on this vacation week, so you may be safe :tooth:

I think the gelcoat dude was colorblind :devil2:

Most shore bass are brought to the morning weigh-in, so after tomorrow morning, I would breathe a small sigh of relief. And save the big one for the closing bell--because ya never know ;)

I've seen 40s come off the beach in the afternoon, even in the middle of a bluefish blitz--tins bounced along the bottom of the rip.

Yesterday's shore daily was only low-20s.

I don't want to jinx you, but I think that this blow tonight seals the deal. NW winds usually shut down the south side, and pretty much make all of the north shore unfishable.

And in any event--if I was any of the boat leaders---I'd rest easy. No one's going out tonight and tomorrow in anything short of the ferry.

Sorry, I misread and thought you were winning the boat division.
You still have to sell the boat if you win or change teams:laugha:
Oh that didnt sound good.
