Jredly's thread on whose using heat made me think of this...

If anyone here is in Massachusetts and heats with oil you NEED to join Mass Energy. It's $20 a year. You will save triple or more on your first oil delivery. And more the next. Last year we saved almost $500 over having to pay our regular dealer prices....and we got a service contract discount too.

It's WELL worth it. It's not a scam or anything it's a consortium of people who have banded together to negotiate a set oil price for you. If there's a referral use my name, maybe they send me a truckload of oil free.

Their website is Home Page | Mass Energy (http://www.massenergy.org/)

I do the Mass Energy membership, also. I've been a member about 3 yrs. Haven't tried to keep track of any savings but I do know several times the local guy (Nicoli) delivered oil to a neighbor below the price I paid Mass Energy....we had deliveries on within a couple days of each other. The neighbor does call up/cash not automatic delivery nor monthly payments. I only get about 4 oil deliveries a year, maybe 150-175 gal.
