Does anyone else think that we have WAY TOO much coverage of the "events" over in Iraq? I don't mean to say that we shouldn't be informed about major events, but with the blitz oof media coverage, it seems that the reporters are disclosing way too much personal information. How would you like to hear on the evening news that a family member was captured, injured or killed? The media almost appears to view the war a "sweeps week" event, where each station/reporter is trying to outdo each other to get their "scoop". Alot of the information that's being reported should, in my opinion, be delayed because they're military matters, not a cilvilian ones. Now don't get me wrong, I beleive in freedom of speech, but what about responsibility, integrity, respect or comon sense? What do you think?

I agree. However, it has confirmed for me something I have thought for years.......that the US has forgotten how to fight wars.
I mean really, we are so concerned about sparing civilian lives that we have taken it to the extreme. Our concern for our "enemy" is causing us to jeopardize/loose our own men's/women's lives. I hope the media exposure to how we are trying to fight this war makes Joe 6-pack American wake up and start to demand his government get tougher on our enemy. Destroying abandoned buildings looks good on TV but has no impact on winning a war. There are tens of thousands of Republican Guards waiting in hotels for the American troops to hit the streest of Baghdad IMO. Take out ALL the building (gov't and others) with the airstike so our guys don't die in combat.
What ever happened to war was hell, and that the objective was to KILL your enemy. I am not a war monger by any stretch of the imagination, but it kills me to see US lives lost becuse we are trying to spare lives of foreigners. Liberalism needs to be taken out of the armed forces...and now.
Some say the Iraqi people are innocent by-standers...I do not see it that way.....they are also to blame becasue they didn't get rid of this madman Heussein on their own. And as such, if they have causualties as a result now of the US having to do their dirty work, maybe it will set a precedent to the other citizens of the world (ie. North Koreans) to take out their lunatics BEFORE the US comes in and cleans house completely.
Just my $0.02 worth.....
