WBZ 11pm news has had commercials on the radio today about a eyewitness news special report regarding people keeping beaches closed "because of plovers".....but they really have another interest...

Just passing it along. I won't get to see it I'll be in the middle of my beauty sleep. I need all I can get.

maybe it's time for fisherman to band together and create a legal fund. Hire a lawyer and start shoving it up these peoples butts. Can they be sued for filing false and capricious legal information? That is plain and utter bull%$%$%$%$. Did you see how the guy started stuttering when the guy asked the question? Lying sack of %$%$%$%$.

Another case of the "Haves" and the "Have Nots"! Unless you are fotunate and wealthy enough to own property on the beach it gets more and more difficult to SEE the beach!!!:fury::fury::fury:

Hmm. . . The wealthy masquerading as bird lovers to cause the public to lose access to a beach all so they can have their private retreat, disgusting.

Well typically, they just want to keep others out. Vehicles ruin the composition of the birders.

Was this a tax deduction for these people so they could avoid paying taxes on the 775k? I'm betting it was.

I think they should be able to try to get some laws passed , once. If they lose and keep trying essentially the same thing over and over with just some little twist , then they should have to reimburse the town for its expenses , each time they lose. That would deter them from filing frivilous legal cases but also make the town really fight to win so they can get reimbursed.

Hello...there...

Hi John.

We in MA do have an existing organization that has been involved in both the fight fof Plymouth Beach and more importantly has been coodinating the overall beach access effort in the State for many years. The organization is the 60 year old M Beach Buggy Assn. MBBA has a legal fund. Donations are always appreciated.

Two years ago MBBA hosted a meeting with many Beach Managers where we brought in a DC Lawyer to eduate them on some of the cutting edge programs and tehniques being used to keep beaches open up and down the coast. Many members thought this was a waste of mony. This year, the Sandy Neck Beach Manager after working for over a year, was able to use some of that info and create an esort program so that self contained campers could be escorted by Tern Nests. This movement of campers made more room for day trippers and non self contained anglers.

One month ago MBBA had the group from Plymouth in to meet withour BOD. MBBA supported them with a small donation and is developing a working relationship with these people who also are sick of loosing their beach access.

I predict that after this coming weekends MBBA Banquet and Elections, the fight to regain our beaches will get "kicked up a notch".

More will be revealed soon.

what a shame. the fact is these people will win because they have almost limitless funding. the town can't afford to challenge them. and if they win their appeal, the onus is then on the town to show why the court was wrong.

ugh. what happened to America. land of the free my ass...
