Obama - But he added that it would be a "misreading" of the election results if anyone believed the American people want to spend the next two years trying to "relitigate" his administration's overhaul of health care or other major legislation of his first two years in office.
But Obama, who is scheduled to leave for an extended trip to Asia on Friday, offered little regret over the massive government programs his administration pushed through when they held commanding majorities in both houses.


Most of the people elected have said exactly that. Most of the Dems that backed you on these will be looking for jobs in January. The message was CRYTSAL clear. Hard to see when your ego is in your way. What a dip$hit.

Obama rejected the contention that his policies are moving America in the wrong direction, citing the economic turnaround since he took office as proof but, in reference to an auto-related campaign analogy, adding that it could be argued "we're stuck in neutral."
