View Full Version : So, whats on this year's Christmas list?
RIJIMMY 11-16-2010, 03:39 PM I hope to venture out to deeper waters next year so on my list is:
- Charts of BI and surrounding waters
- Thinking of some type of EPIRB? They have some non-subscrition ones for @ $350. Most places I fish now are within swimming distance to shore, I'd hate to be overboard in the middle of the ocean, this would bring some piece of mind - anyone have a reccomendation?
- my wife and I will be trying to score on the Christmas sales for a laptop for home
Cant think of too much else I want.
So, whats on your list - fishing or non-fishing?

Clogston29 11-17-2010, 10:23 AM maybe a rod for canal/big plugs - thinking about the mojo. maybe pair it with a saltist (won't do the canal enough to justify a saltiga and i'm happy with VS for my non-canal fishing).
i wanted to new newbalance minimus trail sneaker, but its not avaiable until march
also have my eye on the llbean maine guide canvas briefcase, my black leather one is too formal for everyday use.
what i'd really like is time, but that isn't happening
fishbones 11-17-2010, 11:22 AM I really don't need anything fishing related, or otherwise. I was planning on buying myself a Mojo and another backup reel, maybe a Spheros 8000FB. I guess they could go on a list of ideas for my wife. I'm not big on getting gifts at the holidays. Shopping for my family is much more fun for me, as long as it's mostly done online.

ivanputski 11-18-2010, 04:39 PM Oh yeah... and a buyer for my boat!!! I swear boats are more stress, money and work than they are fun... besides, I'm a surfcaster at heart
tobias 11-18-2010, 04:48 PM New Saltiga Z or Stella SW. Also looking for an 11' 4-8oz rod to jig the canal with. Heard that an 11' St. Croix is coming out early next year but it's going to be parabolic. I heard that CTS might have an 11' rod rated 4-8oz. If it's anywhere as good as my other CTS's, it's going to be killer.

afterhours 11-20-2010, 09:00 AM #1 would have to be good health and prosperity for all....then comes a nice fishfinder for my skiff :).
Mike P 11-20-2010, 09:47 AM When you have two of almost everything related to surf fishing, your Christmas list gets pared down to the essentials.
Continued success in college for my daughter. Her GPA continues to head in the right direction.
Hope that my son addresses his problem once and for all, so we can patch up our relationship.
Continued good health and happiness for my wife and I.
Safe travels to my step-kids as they embark on new lives.
But a Stella SW would be gladly accepted :rotf2:
In due time--hopefully by April.
CrazyChef 11-20-2010, 04:09 PM Lowrance HDS-10
nightfighter 11-20-2010, 04:53 PM Nothing boat or fishing related on my list. I tend to do that on my own in the spring....
I am in the market for a lefty Occidental tool belt though. Need to get the particular bags with pockets for the tools I want to carry most of the time, where I want them. Little things like having a square on the right and portable drill on the left would greatly improve my life.
