What's your choice? Getting felt up or a dose of radiation?

I'll take the radiation.

Felt up definately! If you close your eyes it doesn't matter.

C: none of the above.

I haven't mind my mind yet.

I would choose the radiation, but I have no reason to fly so I'm sure it will be all straightened out by the time I ever need to. you can always take the train to

you can always take the train to
I've heard this from a number of people, pretty much all of them are people that never traveled anywhere except by car, let alone the high demands of traveling for business.

A trip I do relatively frequently for work is Boston to San Francisco - 10 hours of travel or so from the moment I leave my front door to the time I'm in my hotel room. Just looked up making a similar trip with Amtrak - 75 hours and 25 minutes for *just the train ride*.

Any reasonable person knows that a 3-day train ride is not acceptable any more. And on top of that, the feds are whispering about rolling out the same technology at train terminals. Then what is the option?

because

if they haven't the capability to figure out whether or not
i am a terrorist before i even enter the airport then they are idiots.

the luggage isn't even given the same treatment.

stay cations for me

I don't care if they demand both, just kidding, as long as the plane go from a to b without incident. I think the "don't touch my junk guy" is just a garden variety wise ass. If he was traveling for my company and caused that stink he would not have a job when he arrived back at the office.

Don't care...either is fine w/ me. All I ask out of an Airline is to get me from Point A to Point B in one piece....I can live w/ everything else

that is so true, but from here to NY or DC would be fine

the luggage isn't even given the same treatment.

I think that is the problem here, either way, the "luggage" gets the treatment :devil2:

The next level of security will be them checking your teeth because a terrorist decided to have his or her dentures made of plastic explosives.

I don't understand all the outrage. Do people forget that all of us have been seen and touched by doctors at all ages. I also understand the amount of radiation that a person is exposed to being scanned is comparable to sitting in the plane for 2 mins. because of all the electronics on board (was on the radio). Also when you consider what the images show I really don't consider it pornographic, I mean really a black and white image on a screen isn't going to excite many people. I personally am more concerned over who has invested in the companies that manufacture the scanners.

Political correctness is going to cause this great Country to collapse if we don't get it under control, profiling is IMO the best method for screening passengers.

So the Israeli's and the Saudi's do this?

It's a joke. I have to take my shoes off because some idiot couldn't flick his bic, somebody couldn't mix 6 oz of explosives and spread my cheeks because some person couldn't blow up his underwear?

If you're at the airport the problem is already over.

Again, the USA is the laughing stock of the world.

I would be interested in knowing EXACTLY how many "terrorist" have been caught with the current security checks?
I mean, surely they have to have had caught SOMEONE, ANYONE with these advanced screening?
I think that until they can prove their successfulness, all they have done is give us a security placebo. Make us feel safe about a system full of flaws. (Not all airports require or are capable of performing these types of security checks.)

The point about the luggage is the most sound comment made about plane safety. Maybe we should profile the passengers and MEGA-screen the luggage.

everyday you read about some area closed police bomb squad checking package or box left somewhere.bomb squad comes and checks and is nothing.makes you wonder if terrorists are checking system to see what works.if your airport has scanners maybe they go to easier airport.if and 80 year old lady retired school teacher has to take off her shoes makes you think maybe they profile the passengers that fit terrorists profile, but that would'nt be politically correct(in'st that a joke).all the politicans and all the rich people are flying private lear jets.bottom line is if i'm going to fly i want to get from point a to point b safe so scan everyone if thats what it takes.

It's still a joke and a huge crush on us. Homeland Security, except for the Coast Guard is all a big joke
