Notaro... hey if you click on mikes (cape cod tackle) link on the front page, it will give you directions to his shop and also if you click on the link to maps and stuff it will give you a really nice map to some of the more famous spots to fish on the canal. hope to see you around:D

thanks. but a friend of mine told me that mike doesnt do a good service to a deaf customer.

Well thanks for the slam Notaro.

Just cause I will not answer your previous email " Telling you where all my SWEET SPOTS are and how to fish them".:smash:

Sorry when a good customer tells me a spot or where the fish are hitting in confidence I won't tell, thought you might respect that.

The email today asking about the canal I will give you general areas like the Herring run starting about the beginning of May stay from there to the East towards the Bourne Bridge, others like Portugee Hole for Fluke and Bass, Keen ST and Aptuxet, Radar (Jungle) all of the areas on the map on out site are good areas that fisherman frequent.

http://www.capecodtackle.com/img_gen/canal_map.jpg

Sorry I won't be more specific but I can,t tick off the regulars.

Notaro - I would not be suprised if your "Freind" is in error. I've been dealing with Mike for a couple years BEFORE starting this board and I've been in his shop countless times. He falls over backwards giving people good advice and helping people out. Especially in the shop.

I think your "friend" has it wrong. Now I don't know what good service or bad service is for a "friend" that is deaf but I DO know what service you get from a quality shop. Their are a few people that could likely say a lot more about it than me but that's up to them. I for one don't see him being bad to anyone (other than those that have twisted his tail - then it's quite hilarious).

:af: tell me your buddie was at the wrong shop. I can't say I've delt with better service and deticated to the sportsmen then Mike and his family.

" Telling you where all my SWEET SPOTS are and how to fish them". Quote Mike CC

I'd call mike's sweet spots pretty much top secret

Dude....subsribe to either the Fisherman or On the water Magazine....Learn how to use the the search engines. Vist the tackle shops.

Christian
04-05-2003, 06:12 PM
how do you fish them?

normally you should pop a popper.

if you reel those wicked slow you can get them to wobble and sort of swim a little.

definitly get the fisherman and on the water magazines. i get both. i have huge stacks of them going back about 3 years, might look through them and find some stuff to help ya.

Notaro

Notaro - what fishing books have you read? The reason why I ask that is that the Internet is just one small slice of how you should be learning. You should be reading some books too. PLUS the magazines likt OTW and the Fisherman...

Notaro

milton's and not pretty much.
i have seen some freshwater book about cran bait, but no saltwater lure techniques.

Notaro - hit the Library or order some books. You gotta keep your noggin off the PC a little. If you read from a book you can easily go back - pace yourself - and abosorb just as well. There is also something great to be said about having paper 'tween your fingers...

Here is a thread to check out for books - give you an easier read...

The number one thing I can recommend is patience. You will do a disservice to yourself if you cram too much info all at once. Pick a couple things and places and work on those for a year. It will make your success that much better...

I would suggest: Striper Surf - Frank Daignault and The Compleat Surfcaster by C. Boyd Pfeiffer.

off the subject, im sorry for being a pest to y'all guy and u, john. i know i ask a lot of questions and such. i realize that fishing is about self-learning and a personal experience. it's an art and work.
