we're Paying almost 1/2 that for Brady......:hihi:

Honestly hes treating us very well, and i don't think pretty boy Brady is worth 1/4 of that. The Pats messed up when they let cassle go. So you lose our gain. I would also like to point out that Cassel is only guaranteed 28 million over 6 years with the options for bonuses and a max payout of 63 million which is on par with Brady.
However what do you think he is going to want to get paid after this year and inmh he is not worth it.

You have to be high, or a brand newbie football fan.... NFL salary cap dictated that Cassel would be gone. He served us well while filling in, but that was all he was doing. Strictly a caretaking roll. While his numbers this year are a marked improvement over last year's, you aren't seriously going to put his worth ahead of Brady's, are you? Call Tom any name you want. He has more rings than Cassel has snaps in post season games. Just like you can't buy class, you can't buy leadership or the fire that Brady instills in his team. Show me where any ex-Patriot player on KC's roster that has been quoted saying he would take Cassel over Brady..... Don't think you'll find one.

Didn't realize they sign Tom to a 4 year 72 million dollar deal, with a guarantee 48 million. :rotf2:
you might want to recheck your information Matt is behind the 3rd rated offense in the NFL behind NE and Philly with 25.9 points per game. i would also like to point out that with the lack lust front line the Chiefs have Matt is still ranked #4 and Tom number 2, behind Mike Vick. Both Tom and Matt have only thrown 4 int's Tom has 23 td's and Matt has 22. When you put them side by side they are pretty even, but i give the upper hand to Matt not cause i am a fan but hes only been with KC a short time and only to get better.

Actually my numbers were fine when I posted them.....you were looking at them after they updated the 4 O'Clock Games, where I was looking at them before.....right now the Chiefs are at #4 since San Diego has passed them also, from last nights game.
The Chiefs strength is there rushing game....that leads the league. they are ranked 25th in the Passing Game.
And Don't get me wrong....I like Matt Cassell....he did exactly what he needed to do as a backup QB for us and I'm glad he got his Payday and a chance to prove himself.....now he needs to prove himself.
But to put Cassell Ahead of Brady...Or Manning...or Roethlesburger....or Even Philip Rivers in your own Division is pretty much out there.
JackK 11-29-2010, 01:06 PM He has more rings than Cassel has snaps in post season games.

nightfighter 11-29-2010, 07:02 PM I'm not condoning it, then or now. There is that uncomfortable lineage back to the original incident...... But I believe that it is much like the steroids in MLB and the NFL; if you don't think they were all doing it to get that competetive advantage and keep up with the rest of the league or players, you are naive. Mangini didn't blow the whistle on that one until he needed to wound his former bosses more deeply than he could have by continuing his own taping. But he didn't come forward when he was the beneficiary... I do believe it was done league wide with a wink wink, don't tell, we're the NFL mentality. You want to compete, you did it. Now it is a rally call for all the BB haters. They hate losing to him. A lot.
But I fail to see how that strengthens your case for Cassel being a better choice for qb than Brady.....
The Dad Fisherman 11-29-2010, 07:54 PM @ nightfighter - spygate that is all i have to say a bout the rings.

I just think you're jealous.
wader-dad 12-02-2010, 01:42 PM Lets get back to the Pats/Jets
We need to put Revis on Welker and Cromartie on a tight end. I just can't take it when it is 3rd and 6 and Welker catches a 4 yard pass and darts ahead for an extra 3 yards for the first down. Please have Revis take him away.
Problem is that we don't have a third or fourth corner back to cover Branch or their other wideout because Lowery has a concussion and Wilson has been a bust so far. The idea in the off season was to get more options at corner back after the AFC Championship game showed that the 3rd and 4th corners were unable to cover.
On offense we need to do what Cleveland did and destroy the Patriots on the ground. If we can't run over them we are in trouble. We need to get Keller the ball and Cotchery kills the Pats.
First time we had no Pace and no Holmes and Slauson did not know what he was doing. Pool has been a disappointment.
Need to fake the slant with Holmes and go up top. Need to eliminate the Pat's running game- 3rd and 8 is better than 3rd and 3.
Need to make a special teams play and hope that Folk can make his kicks.
Need Jason Taylor to go back in a time machine. Need Shaun Ellis to get his usual one sack against Brady. Need Edwards to catch one long ball.
Need Sanchez to throw some long outs. Need Brad Smith to throw out of the Wildcat.
I get so manic that I need 3 shots of Don Julio before the game just to watch the game.
Piscator 12-02-2010, 01:56 PM If you are going to try to compare Brady & Cassel, you should not overlook their schedules because they aren't even close.

You're kidding, right? I had been to Patriots-Jets games at Fenway by the time you were being weamed of diapers. At Fenway Park no less. In Joe Willie's heyday.... Yep, the Browns definitely took it to the Pats. The team sucked it up and has now buttkicked the three strongest teams in the AFC. Two of which have recent Super Bowls to their credit. The third team, (who might that be?) appears to be the beneficiary of a loud, quotable coach, HBO hype, and a weak schedule. Eight of nine wins against opponents who aren't over .500........ Good team, but still smoke and mirrors. They got exposed last night. Bad day to be a Jets fan.

That goes way beyond being a bad team or having a cocky coach. That shows the coach has no control over the team. This organization is out of control. I can see 3 more losses.
Time for Rex to go after this season. Time to bring in a respected proven coach like Gruden. Everyone is on the 2nd year QB. No way does he get most of the blame here.

Backbeach Jake 12-14-2010, 07:40 PM He was out of bounds in the opposition's sidelines when he was tripped. His intent was to avoid being blocked when attempting to tackle the receiver. The coaches were lined up to prevent this. One knucklehead thought it would be a good idea to trip him. That was wrong. He risked injury to the player and was not a player himself.
I think a rule change is in order here to prevent this:
Any player running out of bounds at any time during any play is an ineligible player for the remainder of that play. Period. The game is played in bounds, not in and out.

That what makes him a knucklehead, he coulda said he was braceing for impact. He did show a little relative honesty in admitting his act. The problem IMHO is a rule problem in that a player can leave the field and return to play.
