Running a pretty standard cable modem / Linksys wireless (WEP) environment at home.

My Windows laptop works fine.

My wife's Macbook used to work fine, but is having terrible network problems that have just cropped up in the past week.

It appears that the problem is painfully slow upload speed (not download) and only when the Macbook is further from the router.

As it's only on the Mac I don't think it's a router or network issue. As distance does appear to be a factor the only thing I can think of is an interference issue. But I'm not sure why it wouldn't impact my PC.

Thoughts?

Reboot the router. How is the wireless signal showing on the MAC? Is it fine when plugged in with ethernet?

Your router probably is on 2.4GHz, which is the same as many cordless phones. Get a new one? Has your neighbor :eek5: ?

We don't help MAC people.
