here are a few plugs I have been working on this week. I really like making Surfsters... can't wait to water test them

The line tie on the Lido is not original ... should be below CL. I am making the figure 8 type piece (to connect flaptail) out of some brass (old flat hinge).. hopefully it will not be too heavy

The big popper is close to the popper that Mike's Custom Plugs started selling a few yrs ago



One of the Surfsters I made in AYC and the other in WRC... I think the WRC is lighter... I prefer working with AYC.

Nice job on those surfster bodies. Hide them if you see Sauerkraut at the plugfest.......he'll BS you out them for sure.

That popper looks pretty much spot on, I love them things. everything looks great!

Chris... the Pink rattlecan is Model Master Hot Magenta #2955 (Small Can format)

In the pic it looks just the krylon watermelon that I use for pink stripes and wonderbread spots.

I haven't made the jump to airbrushing yet, rattle cans get it done for me.

Nice work on all. I would also like to see the flaptail and surfsters when you finish them up.

here are a few pictures of the 2 Surfsters ... one is pearl white and the other is pearl/yellow

and here is the Lido Like Flaptail before adding the Flaptail and hooks. I used black rustoleum paint on my tail 8 piece... I cheated on the arse connection with my quick and dirty solution... the figure 8 piece is both epoxied and held in place with the tail wrap ... I am planning to use a section of SS 1/16 thru-wire to connect the flaptail

This is how I square up metal lips as I epoxy them with 2 part 5 minute epoxy
