Before or after we start drinking. We have a hard enough time getting through the raffle before sunrise the next day.:gh:

Boy, isn't that the truth. I bought 700,000 tickets and never won a thing. Mikey (redlite) felt so bad for me he kept trying to give me what he kept winning. All in all a great time and I will be there for sure again this year. Bringing the cheeze cake too.

Absolutely the best wintertime social event of the year, without question. Katie and her da do a great job on the raffle.

Set the date ASAP because other groups will book the hall. Afterwards we can work out the details of entertainment.

How does Feb 26th sound ?

Originating from PA, I am not sure what you mean by a Yankee swap, but I am guessing they have similar traditions in Kentucky?

How about we just go right from dinner to the raffle!!??That solves who to get for entertainment . Every 20 minute entertainer has gone on for an hour so no entertainment will get us done before midnight. :)

It is The Too F@*&*# Cold To Fish Night.

A get together of biblical proportions in Fairhaven MA at a VFW Hall. Everyone brings food, plugs, fishing equipment. We have a raffle that benefits the site ( I think that's where the money goes) and it is one of the best damn times you can have in Feb with your clothes on.
Usually all of the normal and abnormal suspects from this Board show up. Last year I sat with a bunch of the crazies and I laughed so hard all night that I went home with a belly ache.
There is an Holiday Inn next door where a lot of the guys stay so they don't drink and drive. I dont drink so I make the ride back to NW RI. I think I got home abot 2:30 AM last year.

DO NOT MISS THIS EVENT!!!:gh:

I will try my best to make another fly vise to raffle off again. I'm not promising as I have quite a bit of plug related side work, promises, so far this year and it looks like no end in sight, but I'll do my best. Hopefully I can have it done for plugfest so we can get some $$ raised before we get to the too cold nite.

There isn't a raffle on the entire east coast anywhere that rivals the one at TFCTFN, nowhere.

Makai, Your confusing Stromboli with an Iti sandwich
called Calz..Calta...calamari. Stromboli was a motion
picture made by Frederico Fellini many years ago
staring the beautiful Silvana Manganni with the huge....
or maybe I am thinking about an Iti sandwich. Never mind.

A calzone is kind of like a turnover.
The stromboli is similar but rolled up jelly roll style, much easier to slice and serve as an appetizer.

In the same lot as my marina which now houses a nice restaurant called Fathoms in the same building as CMS. One day this spring when Temptations first opened, they advertised "no cover" so we stopped in for a beer to check out the talent which was a collection of crackheads and hookers that can only be found in New Bedford.Your better stopping in at the Coast Guard Auxiliary for a change of scenery and a cheap shooter.

One suggestion would to be to have it on Jan 29 because the East Bay Angler show is the next day and it might save some traveling for some of us.

If possible please don't have it Saturday Feb 26, that is the date of the Plum Island Surfcaster show.

I know that if it is the same weekend as Plum Island a number of people here who have been dying to come to TFCTFN wont again be able to make it. Not me, but quite a few.

I could probably take advantage of my professional relationship with a few of the Sidewinders MC to assemble a better array of dancers, if John was to decide he wanted adult entertainment this year. :rotf2:
