I might get in some trouble here but hey you gives a ship! I live in the dog house, for what or why i have no clue half the time. But here's what's been irking me lately. My wife has 2 cell phones that never leave her side one of which is for work. She is currently dumping one but that's not my gripe. Anytime I call her which is a least once a day, 95% of the time I get a voicemail. It's the opposite percentage if she calls me(95% I pick up). Sometimes I leave a message and she won't return my call and when we get home doesn't mention anything about my call. This really sits well with me as you can imagine. My 24 year old cousin who is now staying with us never takes my calls! She freakin texts like it's going out of style but can't talk to me! My now 14 year old step daughter is the same way! Am I missing something here? To me it's simple when one of my friends or family calls if I'm busy it goes to voicemail and I return the call as soon as I can. I can't stand texting and do it only out if absolutely needed. Am I making too big a deal about this? Do any of you guys out there have this same issue? It frustrates the hell out of me. I might not take any more calls from them for a month or so and never leave another voicemail and see if it does anything to them.

this is my take on it. When a women is texting, she can have multiple conversations going at the same time (texting different people). If they are actually talking on the phone, they can only have one conversation going, that is why I think they text so much.

can you please stop calling? The damn ringing coming from the purse by the side of the bed really ruins my concentration!

(I couldnt resist, sorry if any offense is taken)

How about leaving her a message like "Hon' I have a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to (insert HER favorite vacation spot) but I NEED you to call me back immediately to answer a question!"
When she failed to call back, and checks her messages, she might get the message (if you know what I mean)!
As for the others, wait until they are in a mid-text coma and mention some off the wall comment like "Is it OK if we don't celebrate Christmas and birthdays anymore?" and see if they respond. If they don't, then you tell them that you presumed that they agreed since they didn't DISAGREE! See, it's a win-win scenario.
OK, maybe not with the wife, but heck, it could be good for a laugh.

I hate when my wife texts me if it requires a response.

I have fat fingers and no keyboard

I don't know what to tell you about her not checking voice mail  other than if she is not going to listen to them, just don't leave them, call again in a few until she answers if it's important, or do whAT TIM said

I feel your pain, the worst is when you take the time to leave a message, and rather than listen to it they call you back not knowing why you called in the first place.

Stop answering the phone when they call??

Knowing women, they're only calling you when they need something anyway.

I don't get it either, I had her get a cellphone so in case it was important we could get in touch with each other. Oops, I must not be that important.
