Sundowner 12-17-2010, 08:09 PM first saturday off in 8 months almost. Christmas shoppin all done but 2 small things for the wife. Finally found the perfect branch to make a walking stick for my little cousin who has become an outdoorsman overnight since going to the cabin for the first time. Think I will sleep late tomorrow, send the $25 bucks for my Christmas gift to myself(custom plug), and detail the walking stick that I am about to prep here in the next few minutes. Just found out his list of favorite animals, all but the seal that can bounce a ball on its nose is goin on the stick, unless I put a wick on the ball
numbskull 12-17-2010, 08:37 PM Please post a picture of the stick.
The Dad Fisherman 12-17-2010, 08:38 PM Selling X-mas trees....watching football.

Of all the weird things I cannot do, I am not allowed to donate blood due to living in Europe in the mid 80s. Hope your son is doing well.

I got the same issue...used to donate blood all the time up until probably 2005....then all of a sudden they wouldn't take it anymore because I was in Europe in '84
quick decision 12-19-2010, 07:00 PM Brought my broken rod tip to M&D's to get fixed. Spooled my Shimano for next spring and bought some Florocarbon and swivels for leaders.
