I just got into ice fishing, and i was wondering what are some of the neccesitys for clothing, any recommendations for gloves, jackets, hats, and boots. Thanks

From one of my earlier posts under deal of the week. I would highly recommend it. I picked up the GB or John Deere colors since it was alot cheaper. It could save your life. I haven't jumped through the ice yet but probably will this weekend to test it. I did wear it tonight while cleaning my driveway for a couple of hours and it was very comfortable and warm. Also tons of pockets and rings. The vids's on the website say it all. I have tried all kinds of boots over the years and my toes usually freeze, get cold, or sweat and then freeze. I was told and read that these boots can't be beat. Do some research on these 2 items. I like to wear mittens rather than gloves in cold weather 15-20 degrees or less. Over 25 I will use regular neoprene or none. I don't mind cold hands. It's my feet that make me drink more.

If you can deal with the GB colors this is the cheapest I have found the full suit. Note: the suit does not say GB or Green Bay its just the color.
$269.00 for the jacket and bib. For those not familiar with the suit you will float if you fall through the ice. They claim it will actually float 2 people but i haven't seen any videos of 2 people floating on 1 suit.

Be sure to include some sort of ice picks or claws in with your necessary gear. If you don't know what they are you can see an example here-
