What do you think...

Here is the situation:

We are supposed to drive up to boston from central RI this afternoon with the kids (2 & 4) in the upcoming "blizzard." We have reservations at a hotel in the City & tickets to the Ballet (nutcracker) tonight, and my daughter has a doctors appointment in the city tomorrow at 11AM (nothing serious).

My wife's cousin was going to meet us there to watch my 2 year old son while we went to the ballet with my daughter, but she has canceled due to snow. So if we go, I will stay with the boy and she and my daughter will got to the ballet.

So, do we drive up there in the snow and deal with all of that? Or do I cancel? I can cancel the hotel without penalty ant the tix to the ballet where given to us... the doctor is a little trickier, but we could still drive up there in the AM or reschedule, as I said it is nothing critical.

What would you do??? right now i am leaning towards still going...

Go. Take a babysitter with you for the hotel. Leave your car in the hotel garage. Get the concierge to arrange for taxis to the play, doctor's appt, and make a family experience in the city/hotel. The city cleans up pretty good under a fresh dumping of snow, especially the Common. Don't forget to have your driveway cleared for when you get home.

I'd go. The Nutcracker is a very special event to see. The more it snows, the slower you go. No biggie. I'd do the babysitter thing for the hotel as was suggested.

I'd go, storms not supposed to be full force til after 6pm.

Let the girls go to the ballet, will probably give you some brownie points.

I used to deliver in Boston and they do clean up fast.

boston has a snow emergency...no street parking...so if you go make sure you can fit in a garage or your going to be bumming when you get there...
