Slingah 12-31-2010, 10:55 AM For me...
1. Become more psychically health conscious.
2. Simplify and prioritize without being slothful.
3. Wear my seat belt.
Anyone else have any?
Happy New Year

I could say losing 20lbs, but that would mean no Gansetts
FishermanTim 12-31-2010, 12:29 PM I don't resolve to NOT do something, but rather to try and DO something.
here's the logic behind this:
When you resolve to NOT do something, you are going against the natural insticts of human nature. No one like being told "You can't do that!" and when we do it to ourselves, we are setting ourselves up for failure. The underlying problem is that when you begin the new year under this premise, you have to battle against you own willpower and desire to keep from failing ALL YEAR LONG!
Now, under my practice, you are telling yourself that you will do something, ANYTHING new this coming year. Most people, myself most definitely, love to try new things. Under this premise you have the entire year in which to succeed, so that the only stress you will feel will be whatever you bring upon yourself.
Now I know this sounds corny and a little too easy to be worthwhile, but it is! Think about it: You are ALLOWING yourself the whole year to do whatever you can as long as it is something NEW, whereas the old resolution meant you had to watch your step for the whole year to keep from failing.
Would you rather spend the year looking forward to new things, or looking over your shoulder looking out for old?
Work on my wetsuit body. :kewl:

jredfly 01-01-2011, 10:47 AM Gonna keep a fishing log in 2011.
My kids got a laugh out of this and said it would read "well it is the 365th day without a fish". I then stated one of these days I will get this fishing thing down - maybe I should put a hook on the end of this line. :rotf2::rotf2::rotf2:
Saltheart 01-04-2011, 11:25 AM Been two bad years in a row. I'm hoping 2011 is uneventful. Simply nothing at all happening would be a big improvement!
