Whats on your list for this coming season???

I would like to fish Montauk this season........man it looks so beautiful there!

I am still chasing my 40.....gonna do it this season from shore and from the yak!!:uhuh:

Looking forward to more kayaking with all the great folks that call themselves "Yak Rats"!! Arrrgh!!

I'm 63. I am in my 45th year of striper fishing. I want to catch a striper that weighs my age.

just wanna fish ten times as much as much as last year. New house and busy at work kept me off the water and sand.

Put the first boat fish on Team S-B's leaderboard.

I want to actually fish rigged eels. I need to get to block more than 3 times like this past year. Im going to try and make a few trips during the summer. Also, need to get my arse up to the north shore this year with JackK. And finally not release a couple fish that would help out team S-B in the cup. And one that ive been trying for a number of years, catch a friggin weakfish.

My goals:

Fish block island

Catch more fish on my own plugs

Fish smarter

Break my pb and release it after some pics

Go back to cutty

Go back to montauk.

Fish or at least meet more people from the site.

i want to make it to the canyons. want to catch a mako, poorbeagle, or thresher. start boat fishing w/ the boy. just be on the fish and have a few new experiences this upcoming season

I want to get towed in the Yak and also want to fish Montauk... Been scoping out hotels .. logistics .. Anyone want to pm me a "what to do package" much appreciated .. I don't expect to be put on cows .. Thinking late fall ..

Not to fish around my free time but fish around tide, moon time of year. Get a beach sticker for my truck and learn some new spots. Get a kayak and fish with some new people.

My goal is to have a season as good as 2010...

I hope to:

Continue weekly island trips,
Continue fishing 5 nights a week
Beat my personal best
*and, stay healthy and in shape.

I don't know I will have no place to store the dust

1.To improve my bait fishing C&R mortality to 02=/-% while striper fishing the big ditch.........In other words to hook and line bait fish but to do so with zero hooking mortality.......
2. Do not lose my temper with ignorant , arrogant sportfishing folks who look down there noise at my bait fishing practices..........
3. Do not lob large, cannonball shaped rocks at the heads of above mentioned same arrogant sportfishing folk who I catch stealing lobsters from my ditch lobster traps............

I aspire to regain some of the ambition that I have lost the past 2 seasons. Also to do some fishing out of the kayak.

Sounds like some congratulations are in order. It is a lot of fun, and worth it though trying at times. I'd do it again of I was your age. In the meantime I'll just keep practicing.

Rookie mistake.

Nov 16th, season over, remember the wife, all's good, then POW, the 9 month rule gets you.

Next time fish even more, that way the wife is so mad at you nothing happens before Feb/Mar and it all works out better.

Use more bucktails. I overlook them so much.

I hope to get my son on his first striper in 2011, either from the boat or shore. Other than that, I'd like to build on what I did in 2010 and get better, while still having fun. I'm also looking forward to getting out on a lot of Yak Rats Scrambles and fishing more with the people I fished with in 2010 and adding more people to the list.

Keep a better fishing log and branch out a little bit. Fish Tri-State :fishin:

More attention to the bucktail is always a goal, and I always ignore it... always...

I like to fish more with my freinds than haunt the rock piles at night by myself.I'd really like to get a couple of my buddies into their ist 50.

Forget about the politics of striper fishing and just enjoy the fishing.....maybe hook up with a striper cup(OTW) team and see if I can make a difference..........:)

My non-aspiration is listening to Nebe and RIJimmy whine while suffering from fluke fever. Unfortunately I gave it to both of them.

I hope that my boat is in good shape all summer and not out of commission all of July like last year.

I hope the fishing around the Elizabeth Islands is better than last year.

I am hoping to boat my first BFT.

Getting a new PB striper would be great too.

The early part of the season I’m going to be training for a half iron man that takes place in July so my fishing time is going to be somewhat limited. I’m going to really focus on trying to pick and choose my trips (instead of just fishing whenever I can) early in the year to make the most of the most of the limited time I will have to fish. Aside from that I want to get back out to Fishers and Cutty and make my first surf trip to Block.

Get my dad out in the boat more this year and get him into some big fish.

Maybe try to get some bigger fish this year I plugs I spent most of last year throwing rigged and live eels and will continue to do so most trips but have been accumulating some nice big wood plugs I would like to throw more often.

I have a couple new spots I want to spend some time exploring as well.

Needles work almost as well, I barley used eels last year. Go for it Mike, it's fun and hassle free!
