On behalf of myself and Christine, and my sister Gloria, and the rest of our family, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your many expressions of, first, concerns for my mom, and after her passing, for your condolences. I've tried to respond individually to every PM, even if only with a brief "thank you", but running back and forth to Rhode Island nearly every day since mom first fell ill was very difficult, and didn't make it possible.

We buried mom this morning. While we're saddened at her passing, we realize that we were very fortunate to have her for 91 years, and that right up until the moment of her stroke, she was active and in full possession of her mental acumen. In fact, she was on her way to lunch with her seniors' group when her stroke occurred. While we mourned her passing, today was also a day to celebrate a long, happy, fulfilling life. Bittersweet to be sure, but we are blessed in many ways.

Special thanks to all who made a donation to the American Diabetes Association in her memory.

If we are all able to do this, we will be better people.

Amen, Mike!! may God's Hope and His Peace powered by His Spirit embolden you and your family beyond measure, moving forward.

i missed the ADA connection earlier as i've been travelling for the past few days after shoveling and playing in the snow. we will be sure to donate in her name, ASAP. she could not have been any prouder to have raised such a wonderfully thoughtful son, who is among the true gentleman of our community.

THANK you, as always, for sharing you wisdom and insights and for echoing one of the truer meanings to Life and Death.
