Very sad to see this today. Fishing Tackle Retailer which is owned by BASS is being discontinued and everyone fired.

If there was one magazine I looked forward to reading every month it was ftr. As a manufacturer in the fishing industry it really gave an insight with some great articles etc about issues we face every day.

I think ESPN still owns BASS. They no longer carry any fishing shows but Bassmasters. Never even know whenits on anymore

They tried to make BASS into a Nascar kind of thing and overexposed and commercialized it.

Hopefully someone buys it and moves it to WFN or outdoor channel.

espn sold bass back in november to two guys. They have no interest in fishing shows or magazines. I got to believe with the advertising they had in this mag alone it was worth it. Guess not.
