Just like a Presidential election :hihi: I'm torn between the Pack and Bears. Growing up in Iowa I was always more of a Bears fan...but Green Bay could make things interesting. -spence wader-dad 01-22-2011, 12:40 PM Lets see - I think I hate the Jets the least. As a matter of fact, I have hated the Jets the least since 1965 with all of my heart and soul. Please Football Gods- let the Curse be broken. Raider Ronnie 01-22-2011, 06:09 PM I'm rooting for The Jets but think the Steelers will win. stcroixman 01-22-2011, 07:26 PM Time for Jets to end the 42 year curse. nightfighter 01-22-2011, 07:47 PM Aw hell, let the Jets win tomorrow. After a two week build up of how great they are, the pain of losing will be that much greater...... And how do we know this? Actually wouldn't mind seeing the Bears win it all, but think the Pack is the class of the teams left.... The Dad Fisherman 01-22-2011, 11:42 PM I couldn't root for the jets if you paid me.... GO Anybody Else!!! stcroixman 01-23-2011, 08:51 AM I couldn't root for the jets if you paid me.... GO Anybody Else!!! Who are your Pats playing this weekend? LMFAO afterhours 01-23-2011, 09:12 AM God help me if the jets go to the sb- ill' be long island that weekend :smash: nightfighter 01-23-2011, 09:21 AM FWIW, the Jets' victory (that is singular) in the Super Bowl was probably the most influential game for what the sport has become today. I remember it well. The build up with Namath was classic. Poolside shots sipping drinks, guaranteeing a win when nobody gave them, or anyone connected with the AFL, a chance...Biggest upset ever with the greatest long term affect. But the organization was more of a class act then, starting with Weeb vs Rex. BigFish 01-23-2011, 09:29 AM Its funny when people keep jabbing us Pats fans about how they are no longer in the picture.......we know this and we are over it. At least I am! I am looking forward to some great football today with these classic matchups! The Bears/Packers game.....I don't care who wins but I am hoping for a close game!! Steelers/Jets......looking for a classic beating of the Jets!! LT running for negative yardage and possibly spraining his pinky finger in the early minutes of the game.....sidelining him for the remainder! (We all know what a "gamer" he is):uhuh: I am never a fan of the loud mouths either......and we know the Jets are a bunch of loud mouths so looking forward to a Steeler trouncing.......45-13!!! The best matchup for the SB I think is Steelers/Packers!!!:uhuh: JohnR 01-23-2011, 10:04 AM I think I'd want GB to win the whole thing because: People will speak less of Brett Farve. When ever GB comes up people have to tell a Farve story even though he's been gone from there for a few years. Sure pretty good QB for years, not knocking him but the Brettfest has been old for a while. This alone is reason for GB to win. Want to see Steeler fans whine more. Want to see (some) Jets fans suffer more :rotf2: . Some of my JETS fan friends are worthy of suffering more misery. I guess with my team out, just want to watch some good football! Karl F 01-23-2011, 10:05 AM YouTube - Fitzy's "Sick And Tired Of Making Cheer-Up Webcasts After Another Patriots Playoff Loss" Webcast (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRcLe1S1Fyc) Saltheart 01-23-2011, 02:26 PM Yeah , I'll just be watching it with no real preference who wins or not. I suppose if pressed I would say I'm a GB fan for the remainder of the playoffs. Just a little nastalgia to see the Lombardi Trophy going to GB. BasicPatrick 01-23-2011, 02:45 PM We beat all four of these teams this year and the two NFC teams have given us super bowl losses. I'd rather be dead than root for anything from NY. So I am left with the Steelers. I like Polamaulou but damn., This is tough. Ok KArl...that Fitzy rant is AWESOME!!!!! The Dad Fisherman 01-24-2011, 06:03 AM Who are your Pats playing this weekend? LMFAO The same team the Jets are playing in the Superbowl....:biglaugh: Goose 01-24-2011, 10:12 AM I am soooo friggin happy the Jets lost. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Slipknot 01-24-2011, 11:08 AM I didn't hear bart Scotts' name one time yesterday. GOOD ProfessorM 01-24-2011, 11:20 AM Now the Jets fans know what it is like to play flat. Looked like our team last week. Sanchez looked pretty darn good. Ben was marginal at best but did just enough in the long run to win the game but could have lost it too with some really bad decisions if the Jets had played half way decent in the first half. Go Green Bay. Mike P 01-25-2011, 06:10 PM FWIW, the Jets' victory (that is singular) in the Super Bowl was probably the most influential game for what the sport has become today. I remember it well. But the organization was more of a class act then, starting with Weeb vs Rex. That game may have shaped the NFL post-merger. Because of the imbalance between the numbers of NFL/AFL teams, Rozelle had to try to convince 3 established NFL franchises to join the "minor league". The Jets' win, followed by the Chiefs the following year (and Bud Grant's Vikings were almost as highly regarded as Shula's Colts), made it a lot easier to convince the Colts, Steelers and Browns to join the AFL teams as the new AFC. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
