View Full Version : Favorite guitar solos
RIROCKHOUND 01-27-2011, 10:07 AMNot the fastest, and none of them are 'the 30 best' but what are your favorite to hear on the radio? Known or unknown guitarists.. In otherwords, what gets you air guitaring? NO CRITICAL Comments like "Yuck, how do you like that"
There are hundreds I can think of, but two that popped on recently that are favorites...

I love the exit solo on White room. not the fastest, or longest of Claptons, but a favorite...

 RIJIMMY 01-27-2011, 01:20 PMgood thread,
I'll stipulate these are some of my favorite rock solos

Jeff Beck - Cause we've ended as lovers. Amazing phrasing and the entire song build to the solo.

YouTube - Jeff Beck - Cause We've Ended As Lovers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IriEq4H1XSU)

ProfessorM 02-09-2011, 11:27 AMfound it. Here is one of my favorite solos of all time. Kind of a long tune but the solo at the end is classic, come in around 4:50 if you don't want to spend the time. It is a tune that slowly builds to the solo. . Luv this guitar sound. So happy that someone finally put some of this album on the tube.

bayviewrr 02-12-2011, 09:53 AMSo many awesome posts here. Many not to my taste but I can definitely respect the ability and talent. This is one of my favs. Of a different genre than the others, but it blows me away each time I see it. And it isn't just the flat pickin' of Tony Rice....its the mando of Sam Bush, the fiddle of O'Connor, the banjo of Bela Feck, and the dobro of Douglas. All at the absolute top of their game.
