The maker of China's new stealth fighter jet has teamed up with a small U.S. company to try to launch bids for U.S. defense contracts, possibly including one to supply Chinese helicopters to replace the aging fleet used by the president.

I've gotten my ass kicked by more Small Businesses fronting International companies from India, China and elsewhere for DoD contracts.

If you are Small Business there are set asides on each contract. If you are an Alaskan native American small business you get an automatic 5 pct off you bid BEFORE it's compared to other bids. 5 pct profit to start.

No suprise

Yes, we are.

The Chinese (RED) aviation industry has every expectation to sell us kit and this is just the start.

From jet trainers to Pres helicopters (hey at least some of the tech will have been US before it was given in transfer or stolen).

Welcome to the new world. Effed over by your government and leaders.

The funny thing is the US "Partner" in this, the same who had a Ukrainian aircraft competing in the Tanker bids.

We shouldn't worry about it though, our fearless leader will be certain to gut the military anyway.

Probably not. I heard a report a few weeks back that there are about 10,000-50,000 Americans learning to speak Chinese in school, and there are something like 100 million Chinese learning to speak English!

I just bought a Toyota Sequoia, I laugh too when my "Union" buddies give me a hard time about not buying American. Their Fords, Chevy's are "assembled" in Canada & Mexico and the Sequoia was "assembled" in Indiana. I knows it's different by model but the Toyota Tundra's are "assembled" in Texas. The Sequioa is considered 80% domestic while a Jeep is only 60% domestic. Go figure.......

Also, I read that Toyota has 8 manufacturing plants in the US.

My Ford was built in Virginia. Current production is in Dearborn, St Louis, and Mexico.

Yes, production is mixed but WE as Americans need to buy more American. The less we do and the higher our costs are the more will move overseas.

The question is: What is American?
